Nancy and Hank Schichtle are the current owners and innkeepers of the Prairie Garden Bed and Breakfast.
The Schichtles are both retired from other interests and purchased the home in May of 2009, moving to Sterling, Kansas, from Wichita, Kansas, to be nearer to family and to operate the bed and breakfast.
Hank's previous life included football at college and professional levels; owning his own business, including personnel services; and sales and marketing ventures.
Nancy previously was a high school business teacher and a legal assistant at Pizza Hut corporate in the advertising law area.
The Schichtles love small town life. In addition to spending time with family and friends, they enjoy active roles in their local church, gardening, traveling, and playing golf.
